Welcome Message

Time passes swiftly.  It is both astonishing and exciting that the Hong Kong College of Cardiology is stepping into her 30th Anniversary of establishment!  As the educational program in cardiovascular medicine with the largest scale in Hong Kong, the 30th Annual Scientific Congress of the Hong Kong College of Cardiology will be held on 8 – 10 July 2022 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This is going to be a hybrid scientific conference with both online and physical participation.

Our Annual Scientific Congress has established herself as the iconic and flagship educational program for cardiovascular professionals from different disciplines in Hong Kong. The Annual Scientific Congress with a rich scientific program was successfully held and well received last year and we recorded a record-high number of over 2,400 registrants and 1,900 attendees from Hong Kong, mainland China and other parts of the world. The Organizing Committee is working with much effort in putting together a highly educational program via different teaching platforms and learning modes. The well-received program components of theme-based symposia, joint sessions with international cardiac societies, Hong Kong Heart Foundation Lecture, abstract and case presentations, poster presentations, Cardiology Course for Family Physicians and General Practitioners, Cardiovascular Therapeutic Workshops, Paediatric Cardiology Program and Allied Cardiovascular Health Professional will continue to be included.  To celebrate the 30th Anniversary, the HKCC 30th Anniversary Keynote Lecture cum Presidential Forum is a must-attend session!

Although we are still amidst the COVID pandemic, we will keep on striving for professional excellence in the management of our patients and continuous learning is doubtlessly the key to this end!

Dr. Ngai-yin Chan
